Project Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Engineer to manage end-to-end project execution, including planning, analysis, budgeting, procurement, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires ownership of project timelines, cost control, and supplier interactions to ensure successful and efficient delivery.


Key Responsibilities


· Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed project schedules, including milestones, dependencies, and critical paths

· Perform project planning, resource allocation, and capacity management

· Conduct technical, operational, and feasibility analyses

· Prepare project budgets, cost breakdown structures, and financial forecasts

· Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets

· Manage procurement processes, including supplier sourcing, evaluation, and qualification

· Lead supplier negotiations (pricing, lead times, technical compliance, and contractual terms)

· Execute purchasing activities such as RFQs, bid analysis, purchase orders, and contract management

· Track project progress and ensure adherence to scope, timeline, and cost constraints

· Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively resolve issues

· Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, finance, logistics)

· Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and senior management

· Ensure compliance with internal standards, quality requirements, and relevant regulations


Minimum Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)

• 2+ years of experience in project engineering, project management, or similar roles

• Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling methodologies

• Experience with procurement, supplier management, and purchasing processes

• Solid knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis

• Proficiency in MS Office tools (especially Excel and MSProject)

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and negotiation capabilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment


Preferred Qualifications


• Previous experience as a Project Engineer in defense projects, with hands-on involvement in both software and hardware domains, is a huge plus

• PMP or equivalent project management certification

• Experience with ERP systems

• Familiarity with contract management and commercial terms

• Experience in supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing

• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and quality assurance processes

• Exposure to multidisciplinary or international projects
